On 21 November, PRAVO.RU will host its Annual Conference "Intellectual Property – 2025".
As part of Session 3: "Intellectual Property in the Digital Era: Protection of IT Products, Data, and Content", Andrey Chervyakov, Associate, Ermolina & Partners, will deliver a presentation titled "Creating Derivative Software with the Use of AI".
In his presentation, he will address:
the current legal challenges associated with the modification and adaptation of software under Russian law;
how the use of AI affects the application of judicially developed criteria for determining whether software has been modified;
how rights to software created while ‘vibecoding’ are allocated;
how to mitigate legal risks when entering into transactions involving derivative software.
